IP Rights protection, antitrust law

Ekaterina supervises the IP Rights practice and specializes in trademark protection, fighting against counterfeit goods on marketplaces (including Chinese suppliers), and has significant experience in litigation and dispute resolution in arbitration courts and courts of general jurisdiction. Ekaterina also supports projects in the area of antitrust law, advises clients on various issues of interaction with the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, including preparation and submission of complaints and responses thereto, advises on competition law issues. Ekaterina's clients include pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies with foreign participation.

Prior to joining MAGENTA Legal, Ekaterina headed her own practice and supported major private equity projects, including corporate disputes in the context of family and inheritance conflicts.

Ekaterina graduated from the Faculty of Law of the National Research University Higher School of Economics.

She is fluent in English.

Selected projects:

  • Fighting counterfeit products on Russian marketplaces (Wildberries, Ozon) of a Russian publisher of board games. Negotiations and pre-trial settlement, claims and litigation work (total project value of over RUB 100 million).
  • Advising a pharmaceutical company on aspects of antitrust regulation on the Russian market, handling competitors' complaints, including in the area of public procurement (supply contracts).
  • Supporting a cross-border private equity project, including a corporate dispute in the Russian Federation, UAE and Turkey, aggravated by a family conflict (the project value exceeded RUB 320 million).
  • Advising a client on the division of inherited property in the Russian Federation in Cyprus, the total value of which is RUB 150 million.
