MAGENTA Legal at GRaNIkon
The convention of board game developers and publishers GRaNIkon took place in St. Petersburg.
The event annually gathers authors and publishers of board games, providing them with a platform to get acquainted, exchange experience and demonstrate new projects.
Maya Markelova, representing MAGENTA Legal, made a report on counterfeiting in the game industry within the framework of the lecture, which covered the following aspects, among others:
- how to recognise counterfeiting and successfully protect the rights to various elements of board games
- an algorithm of actions for rights holders in case of detection of counterfeit products on marketplaces
- answers to questions about trademark registers and other ways of protecting intellectual rights.
